There are many ways on how to cook ribs on the grill. Still wondering what to cook on saturday night?

  • One of the most popular way to prepare ribs is by marinating it using a pre-made barbeque sauce. Of course you can immediately purchase this at any store. But, if you want something more unique, you can come up with your own blend. One of the popular ways of making a blend is choosing the right spices. You can start by going for tomato paste (instead of ketchup) then mix it with garlic, crushed peppercorns, soy sauce, and a teaspoon of red wine. Blend the ingredients then dip the ribs and store it around 2-5 hours before barbeque time.
  • Another suggestion you can do is by using vinegar and lots of salt and pepper. Sounds bizarre? Actually, the acid from the vinegar tenderizes the meat. Just add lots of salt and pepper in the mix and leave the meat in the container for an hour before cooking. Once you are done, then cook the ribs on the grill. Some would even use lemon juice as a substitute for vinegar and would even add garlic for more spunk on the flavor.
  • Some would attest that using beer could do wonders on the meat. In fact, this beverage can tenderize the meat; if you don't have beer in your place, you can do with clear carbonated water. Before your cook ribs on the grill, simply dip the meet into a bowl with beer, salt and pepper. Then you can grill the ribs and you can use oil and the mix to brush the meat while it is being cooked.
  • Another interesting take on cooking ribs on the grill, is while you cook the meat, you put some vegetables in a foil and put some lemon and butter inside. Simply seal the foil (but leave a small opening to let the steam out) as soon as you are done with the ribs, you have some grilled veggies too. You can do this with tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic and asparagus. Just add salt and pepper into the veggies before you seal the foil.
  • The trick here when learning how to cook the ribs is to constantly brush the mix onto the meat while it being cooked. This prevents it from drying up. Once you are done, simply put the ribs on a nice plate and put whatever side dish you intend to put with it.

If you want to have something delicious, relishing and mouth watering, ribs on the grill are a perfect choice. Though loved all the time, grilled ribs consume a lot of time in cooking. Most of the time is consumed in seasoning and marinating the ribs, that is about 24 hours, and ribs on the grill take about three to four hours in getting cooked up. If you haven't had it since long and are craving for delicious, tender and juicy grilled ribs, here are some tips that can help you cook the ribs a little faster without compromising the taste. With the help of these tips you can grill ribs of lamb, pork or any of your favorite meat.

You have to choose any of the ribs of your choice, there are many options and you don't have to restrict yourself. Before buying ribs take care of some points like pork ribs are full of flavor and are fatty too. Lamb rack has eight ribs and is more flavorful than pork ribs but is a little costlier than pork ribs. Before putting the ribs on the grill you have to flavor them. There is a membrane running along the side of bones, this membrane looks silvery, before seasoning the ribs you have to remove this membrane as it is made up of fibrous tissue that blocks the aroma and flavor of marinades and spices as they will not be able to penetrate the flesh. You can either remove it yourself or your butcher can do it for you.

For tenderizing and flavoring the ribs you have to marinade them. A liquid seasoning is used for marinating the ribs. If the amount of salt is more in the marinade, it will get turned into brine, this brine makes the ribs tender. There shouldn't be added any sugar in the marinade as it can block the seasoning to penetrate into the meat. For marinating, the liquid should completely cover the meat, after this you have to refrigerate the liquid.

Ribs On The Grill

Choosing grills is of equal importance to choosing the ribs. There are basically two types of grills, gas grills and charcoal grills. Charcoal grills add smoky flavor to the ribs that makes it extremely delicious whereas, gas grills are good at heating quicker and also you can clean them properly. You have to keep some common points in mind; those are, your grill should be equipped with oven-thermometer and it should be placed closer to the place where ribs are to be placed and the grill should be clean.
